Switzerland: the new Federal Data Protection Act (nFADP) enters into effect on September 1, 2023
Switzerland’s 1992 Data Protection Act has now been revised in order to strengthen the rights of consumers regarding their data, and to align the Swiss rules with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is effectively rolled out since May 25, 2018.
On September 1st, Switzerland will put in effect the toughest privacy and security law in the world, enabling it to maintain a free flow of personal data between Switzerland and EU countries.
